Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 13, 2026

This policy explains what data Habitary processes, why it is processed, where it is stored and the choices available to you.

Scope

This policy applies to the Habitary iOS app and its optional account features. Google, Apple and any other services you choose are also governed by their own privacy terms.

Data stored on your device

Private habits, entries, values, notes, categories, tags, schedules and reminder settings are stored in the app’s local database. Depending on your system settings, iOS may include local app data in device backups.

Optional account and social data

If you sign in, your account identifier, display name, email address, sign-in provider and profile photo are processed. When you use Friends, friendships, invitation status, habits you explicitly share, today’s shared status, shared habit definitions, your shared contributions and daily summaries are stored. A personal share includes only the title, icon, colour, tracking type, target, unit, schedule, end date and today’s progress; notes, descriptions, categories, tags, reminders and previous personal history are not shared.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication, the profile database, private avatar storage and account deletion infrastructure. Social sign-in is currently provided by Google; Sign in with Apple may be enabled in the future. These providers process data under their own terms. Habitary does not sell personal data and does not use ads, cross-app tracking or third-party analytics SDKs.

Permissions

Notification permission is requested only when you enable a reminder. Your photo library is used only when you choose a profile image through the system photo picker. Habitary does not request continuous location, contacts, microphone or advertising tracking permission.

Retention and deletion

Local habit data stays on your device until you delete it, permanently remove it from the archive or uninstall the app with its local data. Online profile and optional sharing data is retained while your account or sharing remains active. Deleting your account from the Profile screen removes the authentication account, profile record, stored avatar and social data connected to your account; limited retention periods applied by service providers for security, legal obligations and backups may still apply.

Security

Platform security controls and encrypted network connections are used for account operations. No system can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your device and sign-in provider.

Your choices and rights

You can use Habitary without creating an account; update your name or photo, sign out, revoke provider access or delete your account from within the app. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict processing or object to processing.

Children’s privacy

Habitary is not directed to children below the minimum age of digital consent in their country and does not knowingly collect children’s account data without valid permission.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be published with a new effective date. For privacy questions or data-rights requests, contact baytendev@gmail.com.
